Removing Alternator

On the manual, I see this lever on the pulley for the tensioner, is that a special tool? How do I go about removing the alternator besides, unplug and unbolt.

To remove the belt there is a tool for autotensioner. That is the lever. Never removed the alt in this car, but I would imagine, do what you said, remove belt first (put a couple wrenches together, 14mm hooks up to tensioner) and if you don't have room to get alt out, figure out how to manipulate stuff to do so. Have you searched the DIY section yet?
