Rear wheel hub replacement

Hey guys I have a rear wheel that is growling and grinding like worn down brake pads. I know the wheel bearing is bad so I am going to replace the hub. Is this as easy as it looks? I'm seeing that I just have to remove the wheel, caliper, and rotor right? Then I just pull off the hub and replace with the new one? Is there something else to this that I am not aware of?

There's a past thread or two posting details of replacing the rear wheel hub bearing. It's not really all that difficult to do, but try searching for the thread as it has some good tips if ya run into problems.

Yes, its very simple. Remove the center nut, rotor, caliper and pull the hub off, replace the bearing and reinstall everything.

You will replace the whole hub assembly, not just the bearing. that is why it is a lot easier.

Yeah I changed the hub assembly yesterday. The old one looked pretty rough. Very easy job, I would say it took just a little over an hour for the whole job. The TL is a smooth quiet ride once again. I should be flipping 250K in the next 2 weeks and the car still runs great.
