Rear brakes squeel

hey
when i tap my brake lightly it squeels for a little until i press the brake harder then it goes away. my question is should i get my rotors shaved? my rear pads were changed about 5 months ago and have plenty of life on them.. i was thinking just get new pads but they are practically new.

You may need brakes at one end of the car so the noise makers are activating
Or you may have a ridge on the edge of the rotor- happens with new pads on old rotors
or maybe you have a little glaze becasue no one cleaned the rotors
What pads are you running?

Its time to remove the wheels and do a full inspection
Noises in brakes are never a good thing to keep wondering about~

You also may need anti-squeal applied

Take it apart and clean out all the brake dust. It helped quiet the squeel noise twice already for my car.
