Rear Brakes Replaced, Inner pads mixed up from side to side. Problem?

Hey everyone, I just replaced my rear brake pads on my newly bought 2002 TL 3.2 Type S. When i went to put the inner pad on the other side (I had already finished one side) I noticed the inner pad (the one with the wear indicator) was not matching the old one I was taking off (IE: the wear indicator is on the opposite side of the pad--like on the right side instead of the left). There doesn't seem to be any clearance issues, and I don't think there is any harm in mixing them up from what came off the car, but is my reasoning here accurate? Thanks in advance for all the help, and let me know if you need any more info!

only thing to worry about is the extra/3rd raised tab on the inner pads

did the new ones have a raised tab at each end- one holds the noise maker thing and the other is empty
If there is a 3rd tab -top center of the backing plate, that must be ground off or there will be a big problem
return pads found with 3 tabs for correct ones,,those actually fit an rl

did you flush the brake fluid?
special order for the TL- LF -driver front, then clockwise around the car

There was no second tab on either of the pads. Only the one wear indicator in each inner pad was present. And no I did not flush the fluid...is that a given each time you replace pads?

should be done every year if you drive hard, lots of mountain use or even extreme stop and go traffic

or every 2,,maybe 3 years for `normal` driving

easy diy- does wonders for the pedal feel and the brake operation
wiki hygroscopic for why you have to change it
