Random Check Engine Light...

Hey guys running to work so this will be a quick version of whats going on. My check engine light keeps going on and off at random times. Not sure why but my dad thinks it might have soemthing to do w/my remote starter. Last time it was on it turned off when it was started w/the remote. WHen i get out of work I'll make a more descriptive post. Any suggestions would be a huge help. Thanks.

My TL has done the same thing, but I have no additions to mine. I think it wouldn't have anything to do with your remote starter. Just from my experience with cars, it may just be your oxygen sensor. I have yet to check mine, though.

Yea I'm not worried that its anything major, I'm worried that it'll be off and then turn on next month the morning of my inspection...

go to autozone or pep boys to check the code out and see what it is. then start from there to diagnose the problem.

Similar issue happened to me, however it was WHILE driving. Apparantly one of the ceramic cores in the catalytic converter got loose and cloged up the exhaust pipe causing the check engine light to flash and limit the car's max rev to 5k. I'm almost sure this isn't your scenario since you'll hear the exhaust "whisle" if it was.
