Radio help so frustrating

Radio help so frustrating

My radio isn't working the unit has power but all I hear is cracking from the speakers like there's bad reception I pulled out the antenna yesterday and all the connections look good what else should I do my rear glass is tinted it has been for years but this problem just started.
any suggestions?

something went bad. not sure if there's an amp in the 2nd gen TL, or if the headunit drives the speakers.
if there's an amp, the amp went bad. if no amp, the headunit is the suspect

gotta troubleshoot with a multimeter to see if things are powering up. and if not, where does the power stop. ie; tracing the power back to source.

once you know which component is not working correctly, then you can replace it with OEM or aftermarket as IGGY has shown
