This might seem like a real noob question but if I had a fouled plug what type of symptoms would I have? Reason why I ask is b/c ive been having a problem with my engine missing under moderate to heavy acceleration and cant really pinpoint what's causing it. I had CEL blink but once I brought the car to a stop it went away... Under normal driving condition the engine runs fine with no mis-fires only when going up steep hills where I need to give heavy acceleration, or when I speed up to pass somone.. etc, you get the idea. I had my plugs changed about 15k ago and just recently changed my coils.

 

First thing I would do is make sure the plugs are tight as well as the coil pack. A truly bad plug will throw a CEL and it should stay on.
