Question about Gear shifting

when driving in d5 gear 2 on the highway I can't accelerate pass 80mph (shaking,etc..) so i have to manually shift to gear 3 or higher. Shouldn't it shift automatically. I just bought the car and want to have any problems fix before my 3 month warranty is up from the dealership.

If your in SS mode no it wont shift automatically. In D5 it will automatically shift. Your in SS mode if you see D5 and what gear your in.

just put it in D5. If you push it to the left where there is a separate gate that the shifter moves up and down your in SS mode (where you have to shift it)

That defect is actually the rev limiter kicking in so you dont blow up the engine
Register your car at www.acura.com and you can read the entire owners manual there too for free!
These cars have a few tricks- but nothing crazy wierd about them
