I understand your concerns at the time,,
and my point is about the sludge and mositure laden oil from those many short run times,
circulating around
but you did at least change the oil so thats good
do a 200 miles with seafoam 1/2 can in oil before next change and it'll be right

wonder if I can buy stock in seafoam?

fsttyms1 got me hooked on it,,then I realized it was the stuff for the fuel injector cleaning machine we had in the shop---back in the day

seafoam had to remove a coloring dye a few years ago when govt regs changed
Some thought the formula was different-no, just removed a dye
so looking at it didnt ring a bell in the ol brain~

there are other good products, such as redline for injectors, bg44 however its used etc.
Most products do one thing, oil-gas-vac port- `cleaning kits` have 3 cans-
seafoam does them all, and 1001 things around the house from removing fresh road tar off the car, to lube for the house door hinges and locks! (aerosol form)

when I find a product that works- I share that info
we have new people joining every day, so it becomes necessary to repeat over and over
The car runs SOOOOOOOO much better,, you cant believe you only spent 20 bucks

Find a farm and fleet. Its much cheaper for a gallon of it. Its only 48 bucks for a gallon and it will last you a long time.

I cleaned my PCV today. It seemed to be working OK...

Just to clarify the picture in Post #9, the PCV is to the right of item A (which is a sensor in the intake).

To remove the PCV safely:

  1. Remove the two plastic covers over the intake. (4 10MM bolts, two 1/4 turn retainers and one push-plug.)
  2. Remove the rear cover that clips the plug coil wires (two 10MM bolts)

Note that the white dot on the PCV hose lines up with the seam on the L shaped nozzle of the PCV.
