My 2003 TL started making a whiney noise that got louder over the week. I eventually replaced the power steering fluid, then replaced the O-rings and then I replaced the whole power steering pump. The noise got less loud but is still not fixed. I have been also leaking power steering fluid for the past few days after I initially changed the fluid. What do I do at this point. I also noticed a new whiney noise that sounds like its coming from behind my steering wheel after I changed my fluid.

 

Any bubbles in the power steering fluid in the reservoir? That would be indicative of air getting into the p/s lines via a leak somewhere, which would explain your symptoms.
