Power Steering problem...searched cant find answer
ok so i have an 03 TL-S. it was making a grinding noise coming from the power steering so i figured the bearing was goin bad, at this point i still had power steering just had the annoying noise. i didnt want to hassle with rebuilding the one in it so i bought a new one installed it made sure the belt tension was correct & it had correct amount of fluid in it. but when i try to bleed the system, the steering is now stiff & even after several turns from left to right it remains stiff & the fluid reservoir is bubbling also fluid shoots out the reservoir when you turn the wheel til contact then release. anyone know why this could be happening? any solutions? thanks

New OEM ones are crazy expensive, so probably not. I had the same problem, and I replaced the pump with a OEM one from a salvage vehicle for ~60 bucks.
If your PS reservoir is still bubbling a lot, then you have to find the source that air is getting in. If steering got worse after you replaced the pump, then it's likely that the re-manufactured pump is bad.
Double check the rubber hoses, just to make sure it's not a clamp or something. If everything else is OK, try to get another pump if you got a warranty with it.
