2003 TL-S AT I stopped engaging the passenger mirror drop down when in reverse because it never fully returned to normal setting. Didn't use it much anyway. Now the mirror slowly drops down on its own ... I reset it, drive a few miles and realize that the mirror has shifted. It doesn't take long even on a smooth road. An annoyance more than anything. The 4-way mirror adjust button is getting a work out. JC

Set the mirror to your liking. Take the door panel off and disconect the wire from the switch.
There is a way to trobleshoot the switch, but Alldata would not allow me to copy and paste.

that is a feature in the car, i checked a specifications page for the 03 TL, it has a tilt-down rearview mirror to help you parallel park so you don't hit the curb. It has helped me a lot in our 03 TL. (your wheels won't get scratched, LOL).
