Paint damaged from leaky pipes at an apartment complex parking lot...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...ostcount=18793

and I am not 100% sure if it is my parking spot because there are letters on the floor of the parking spot, but also room numbers on the wall... would this affect the person at fault?

Take pictures to show us what you are talking about. Did you try claying it to see if it comes off?

I forgot my clay bar kit at home, didn't think I would... I ran my finger over it, and it didn't feel like it was over the clearcoat...

Dripping from this cracked, rusted pipe.

What do you think? :/ It happened in under 24 hours... right now I have a plastic bag over the spot where the pain gets hit, I'm not moving the car until I show the apartment manager.

I believe you could clay or bouff it out easily.

well i fail, that wasn't my parking spot... wtf. would it still be their responsibility if it's permanent damage to the paint?

I don't have a claybar kit handy with me so I tried using some meg's car wash on it with a microfiber and... nothing came off. Has anyone dealt with legal stuff with a situation like this? This as in my paint getting damaged in a parking spot which was not mine.

talk to the manager, the manager will most likely call the last inspector and blame him for not seeing that cracked pipe. if the inspector has written on paper saying that it was leaking and was never fixed.. its all on the owner. goodluck

Thanks, also about the spot I parked not being my assigned parking spot, would that affect who's at fault? I assumed the spot was mine because it had the room number on the wall/cabinets behind each parking spot...

Quit worrying about the legal crap first and Go buy yourself some claybar or polish compound first and see if it comes off.

But yeah you should be covered it's the dudes fault pretty much, I mean sort of yours since you parked there but you can simply say what you thought it was, just plain water.

Goodluck
