Oil pan spec?

Oil pan spec?

Does anyone know the torque specs and pattern on our oil pans?

As above ^^^ , 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m) or 8.7 lbf-ft.

Start with the middle of the pan's length, then criss-cross working outwards alternating from left to right, then finally the ends back and forth.

I don't gotta do this yet but to clarify does that say put the Hondabond on the oil pan, engine, and inside the bolt holes??

I didn't, I just put it on the oil pan and engine mating surfaces. I also didn't use hondabond, I used an RTV, can't remember what color though.

Yeah, I have yet the need to do this.....but it appears that the sealant only needs to be applied to the underneath of the motor's mating surface for the oil pan. It also recommends putting the sealant into the bot holes.

The last time I did an oil pan was on my son's '99 Durango, it along with the tranny pan were badly rusted. The RTV sealant worked really well along with new retaining bolts. Just make sure that everything is really clean.
