Oil filter housing leak?

Hi. I have a1999 tl 3.5. It has a pretty fast oil leak coming from the area of the oil filter housing but I cant see the actual place its leaking from. There is a plate bolted to the top of the housing where the sensors sit.The crack between the plate and housing is leaking but is not the fast leak I'm seeing. It may be leaking more in the back side but i can't see it. Does anyone have a diagram of the oil filter housing? Thanks. J

It seems to be seeping out of#14 area facing me. I cant tell where the bad leak is coming from the back of#14 or elsewhere. I know its not the front seal or the 2 sensors on top of the housing.Other than that, all I see oil dripping in line with the housing. Thanks for the breakdown. J

......................No, this happened out of the blue. The oil hasn't been changed in 3000 miles and the filter is dry all around. Its gotta be somewhere behind the housing and because where the sensor housing is bolted to the filter housing is leaking, I'm leaning towards the back of the sensor housing where I can't see. I'll get the orings and seals, gaskets, for the whole housing assembly and hope that does it. J

yes it's the 1 on the right that has the 2 bolts holding it down like a platform but neither 1 of the sensors are leaking around the sensors themselves .I only see oil seepage out of the mating surface where the 1 on the right is bolted to the top of the filter housing.
Maybe the mating surface in the back is pouring out but I just can't see it. It only leaks when the motor is running so its definitely above the height of the oil pan. Probably something stupid but I don't want to take it apart until I get the o ring kit. Hey,, thanks for all your answers. I will definitely post back when i find it.

Based on your description, I would start with replacing #15, which appears to be an o-ring. Just a guess.

Anybody know what# 14 sensor is called. I tried to look it up but don't find it. Btw I pulled it out. It has a figure 8 oring that wasnt ripped but looked pretty flat. Maybe the sensor is leaking, its hard to tell there is oil everywhere. Thanks

Nevermind. I called Acura. Its the v tec solenoid.Whatever that means. I assume it sends a signal to the timing.

vtec operates on changes in oil pressure with rpm- so it has its own sensor

Ok. I changed the solenoid orings and it poured like rain. Then I changed the housing gasket and its not leaking. I wonder if overheating the engine a few times caused it to breach. Ask the rubber parts looked good but evidently not. I want to thank all you guys for all your help. J

Just to help others (me!)

Which gasket on the above housing did you replace?

The "figure-8" one under the Vtec solenoid # 15?

++++++++++++

If I replace the oil pressure switch # 17 do I have to order the o-ring (#29) that is under it?

++++++++++++

The oil pressure sender #16 might be it too? (Still have to clean everything up so I can determine the source of my oil leak)

++++++++++++ james 15 e n 1313 was the 1 that was leaking gasket between the block in the world filter housing

Was #13 gasket difficult to replace? Looks like the 2 bolts but wasnt sure if there was more to get to it? Thanks

BTW: my 2001 CL Auto is leaking from this housing area also from rear main seal. I thinking of starting with changing pcv since this is a 2nd car I dot drive it hardly thru the year maybe 3-5 times a month, I thought it might be clogged and making to much pressure in the motor. Thanks for any help
