o2 Sensors aka Oxygen Sensors, 138,000miles today!

Hey wassup guys...

Today I hit 138,000 miles,,,, and i still have a check engine light, i need to replace 2 oxygen sensors that cost 400 bucks,,, so ill leave the light on for a few more weeks, But i have a question,,, is it normal for a Acura with these miles to have so many problems? Are these common problems?

-Transmission went at 110,000 miles
-Egr and Cat Converter went at 120,000
-Major Engine noise and weak trans at 130,000

Thats about it, other then that the ride and everything works very well like brand new! (heated seats, bose 6cd changer, power seats, ect)

Does anyone know if Its really important to change those o2 Sensors?

yes it is important and ur gas mileage will suffer too.
i guess u dont have to worry about emissions inspection every year huh??

plus it can ruin ur cat too.

u can try getting a 02 sensor from autozone, advance auto parts, etc. w/o going thru the dealer plus it should be cheaper.

^^^ age 97? wtf?

change ur o2 sensors asap, dont be cheap, cuz in the long run it will cost u more than the o2 sensors combined. will fuck up ur cat, emmisions, gas mileage wouldnt doubt ur egr will come back to haunt u, since the o2 sensor is relaying back to input more gas.

i duno bout u i got my primary o2 sensor for 80 bucks cdn, from a local store, primarys cost bit more then secondary...shop around and fuck the dealership ones, yea they r expsensive, 250+cdn for primary. but a direct plugnplay, no splicing.

I'll just put it this way... a lot of the engine functions run based on the readings from the oxygen sensor. Yeah, you should replace it soon.

Is it the primary or the secondary, though? Just curious.

<-- been through 4 primary oxgen sensors in like 50k miles.

Weak transmission at 138k? I got that from the factory.

I'd say it doesn't sound like too many problems. The 98 Camry at 127k has a shot suspension, had to have $1800 worth of work in the past year. Costs are involved with high mileage cars.

$400??? You are getting ripped. Do it yourself. If you can screw in a light bulb, you can do this.

Also, what do expect from any car that has 138k miles?
