No heat 2001 3.2TL

There's an actuator under the dash. Look up on the passengers side towards the center of the dash and you see the gismo that controls the heat. If you start the car and turn the heat control knob up to 90 degrees than back down all the way and you don't see the control arm move then the actuator is bad. I had to replace mine. If it doesn't work=no heat. Check it. Junk yard part. They are expensive from Acura if bought new. They tend to fail. If you heard a clicking noise from under the dash this may be the culprit.

The valve that allows heated coolant into the heat exchanger in the passenger compartment is located in the engine compartment just in front of the firewall. The air mix motor controls whether the air is directed at feet/dash/defrost etc.
Gerg 1 hold auto and off buttons at the same time while the car is on. If there is a problem you'll see a flashing '88'. Between flashes some segment(s) of the '88' will remain illuminated - let us know which one.
For example, my air mix motor is bad - the middle horizontal segment of the left '8' remains illuminated to indicate this.
