No Cold Air from the Air Conditioner
Ok guys,
Here’s what I’ve got going on with my 2000 tl w/127500 miles. No navi.
I can’t get any cold air from the air conditioner. Yesterday during a 30 mile drive it worked fine. I parked the car outside for about one hour, got in to drive home and that’s the first time I couldn’t get cold air. In any mode, I turn the dial to 60 and only get warm air; I dial in 90 and get hot air, like normal. Go to cc and set as normal to 74, only the warm air blows in.
Any thoughts or solutions?
Thanks,
Joe

well i just had ur same problem.... i hada get a full ac service and it cost me around 500 dollars.... i had a clog in my pipes and the ac compressor.... so they rebuilt the ac compress and flushed the whole systemmm... and it worked for a while but then it messed up again so i took it back and they gave me a new ac compreessor flushed the system twice cleaned everything up... put in new cabin filters and the whole nine yards... it was a very time consuming thing.... hopefuly its jjjust a leak and nothing else

I would first check for a rock hit to the condensor- sudden loss of pressure??
Or a seal leak
turn the manual AC control and fan on and see if the compressor kicks in or the passenger side radiator fan comes on
They make freon with a red dye for leak testing-finding- avail at parts stores
