check with the dealer......theres a recall about a srs sensor........it might just be a bad sensor........and does this happen when someone is sitting there or when there is no one.........

Its supposed to do that if you have a passenger in the seat. If the passanger is not sitting right in the seat that light comes on to let you know that the airbag isnt on so it wont hurt your passenger.

I also have the same problem, when a passenger is sitting in the passenger seat all "gangster-d out with the hardcore shoulder lean" it triggers the light to come on. I wonder if it stays on long enough it'll explode on the passenger.
mine came on today the yellow light i was parked with the car own and someone was sitting in my car for awhile then I noticed the light blinking for a couple minutes then the light stayed solid and then i turned the car off and when i drove it again couple mintues later it was off you sure this is normal? so everytime someone sits wrong in the car its gonna turn on? with that yellow light it reminds me of a check engine light and thats something i dont want. let me know thanks
i started noticing i have this problem now after i got out of work today. NOTHING and no one is sitting in my passenger seat and the side airbag light illuminates. i already knew and understand everything said above, so i took my hand and applied weight to the seat to see if the light would go out, and sometimes it would, sometimes it wouldn't. so when i got home i tried sitting in the passenger seat myself... and the light went out. then i got out of that seat and the light came back on. is this the SRS recall of which you speak of??
light shouldn't be on, with no one/nothing in the seat.....the recall was issued awhile ago.....if you go to the dealer/call em they can tell you if your car has a recall....
and as for trying to do this with your hand, its not going to work it will never give you a rgith reading, just because of the force you are applying, or just the location you are pushing on.....
