Newb Timing belt question

Hi,
I just bought a 01 TL with around 145k on it and was wondering if anyone knows when/how much it will cost to have the timing belts and water pump replaced? BTW the transmission shifts like a godess so far. Just wanna know about the timing belts. Thanks.

If it hasnt been done its due for it. Depending on where you take it 600-1200$.

The thing is I have no idea if its been done or not and I'd rather not take a gamble. After the dash issue its gonna get done right after that. I usually take my car to the dealer as I trust them. But I ain't payin no 1200 for a timing belt install. If thats what they want, Ill take it somewhere else cuz thats more than the civic was that I had. Granted different car, but I could do it myself cheaper..if I were that brave lol.

They only charged you $700 at the dealer?!? If they did the belt and water pump you got a pretty good deal.

If you got that done at the dealer for that price you should start handing out their number

it was at sterling acura of austin they had a 30percent off coupon at the time i guess, either way i was kinda worried because they wouldn't show me the old equiptment sayin they threw it away, and i couldn't see evidience of work done other than scuffed bolts with anisieze on them, tomorrow they r supposed to replace my airbag check my seat belt and see why the abs and vsa light is on, hopefully they will fix the srs even thought the light isn't currently on
