Hey I'm new here,just bought a 2003 TL 3.2, car is in great shape with 164,000 miles.Ive been reading of transmission problems with this model.Read that the late 03's dont have trans issues.How can I find out if mine is a early or late 03?

 

Have you checked with Honda to see if your tranny has been replaced? Look for blue paint on many of the bolts on the tranny to see if you have a replacement, hopefully you have a post-2004 as they are supposed to be more reliable (I have 200K on my TL, tranny was replaced at around 40K). I think blue bolts + no oil jet kit means you have a redesigned unit as the oil jet kit would not be installed on the newer design. Look at the fill bolt, if there is a tube running through it you have an old tranny.
