Just bought a 2000 tl yesterday. Black on black ,new toyo tires, 79450 miles. I got the vin # before I bought and Acura tells me I have 3 monts to get a new tranny. Does anyone recomend a good service dept in Houston, TX.

Is your transmission showing signs of failure? If not, they won't replace it.

And what was the original "in-service" date of the car? (The date it was originally sold.) You should have 7 year + 9 months from that date. The entended warranty on the transmission was originally 100,000 miles and 7 years but a class action lawsuit settlement added 9,000 miles and 9 months.
