Hi everyone,

I have an 03 TL base with 136k on it. This weekend I had a shop install the A-Spec/JDM Honda Inspire wing. So, it's a factory part installed by a professional body shop, but I have a couple weird things going on now.

First, there's a new noise from the shifter. From what I've read, it sounds like the shifter solenoid. When I'm in park, and I step on the brake, I get a really loud click from the shifter. It's loud enough that I can feel it through the shift knob. I know that some noise from the solenoid is normal, but this is WAY louder than it ever was before. It sounds like some noise is normal on a high mileage car, but I'm positive that this noise is new after the spoiler install. Is this somehow related to the new spoiler? Like, the new third brake light is causing extra drag on the electronics, or something?

The second one is that when I hit the button for the fog lights, I get a loud click. Can't tell where that's coming from, but it sounds like the console or the right side of the car. I can't be sure if this noise was here before the install or if it's new, since I don't hit that button very often. But the solenoid noise is definitely new.

So, are these noises somehow related to the spoiler install, or are they just coincidences? Should I do anything about them or be concerned at all?

So, I disconnected the new brake light on the spoiler. It still made the noise. Guess it's just a coincidence that the solenoid's going? Really weird timing though.
