New Member Question Plz
I own a '99 TL 3.2 automatic 97,885 miles. Car has error code P1676 Traction Control System FI Cruise control not working. I am also using valet key as one of the masters has gone missing and the other drops in ignition however does not let me turn to first click as is extremely worn down. Noticed the turn signal indicator goes to slightly darker color when blinking like an old school headlight that is going out. Your recommendations would be most helpful. Looking to repair on my own. Map? New plugs? What is an air filter resonator box? Battery showing corrosion on post. Thanks.
Besides being confused about the run-on sentences (not being mean, just letting you know it's very confusing what you're actually asking for help on). I'm not sure what you mean by your first three sentences, but as for the rest:
Turn signal lamp in dash could be going out, but mine still lights up fine and it has 240k on it. MAP = manifold absolute pressure sensor? What makes you think it's going bad/is bad? The air filter resonator box is the tube portion between your throttle body and stock airbox. It's the tube with the snake-looking portion underneath the air pipe. And if the battery is showing corrosion, simply clean it off with some corrosion cleaner and a terminal brush and get some di-electric grease to coat the terminals with afterwards to prevent further corrosion. Don't let the corrosion get too bad...it WILL eat through your terminal post connectors. And a new positive battery lead is not cheap.
Hope this helps a little!
