new guy here

what's up everybody !!! i just joined a few weeks ago after i picked up my 02 tl-s
awesome car. i'm used to driving trucks & v-8s. azine has been helpful so far already replaced the tranny. so i have question what is the normal operating tempature. my gauge seems to be just under halfway but the fan seems to come on. any ideas. thanks. hope to talk to you all.

Thats where mine is like 1 or 2 lines under the halfway mark. Congrats on the new car and your temp gauge is in perfect working order.

Should probably be your fan switch. there's a couple other post like this. I have the same prob too.

Half way is correct, and the fan does run, that is good. But, if it runs too often, then you have heating issue. That is just my experience. You dont' have to agree with me as other members have diff experiences. No same cars have the same problems.

3 year dead thread!!! its revival week amen!!

if your driver side fan isnt cycling on and off as needed- it is probably the fan temp sensor switch
located lower corner of rad or at thermostat (early years)

Good eyes. I didn't even paying attention, someone's actually replying to it. I did actually made mistake too when trying to go thru the search.

3 year thread revival and, his system is running normal. Gauge should be just under half.
