I need help changing P/S fluid on 99 TL. I've searched the forum, but didn't find anything on the 2G. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

you need to disconnect the return hose on the reservor and put that hoses into a bucket and turn the wheel from left to right while pouring fluid into the reservor cause it will go really quick

why do you need to change the fluid? did you put the wrong kind in it?.. if your going to do a whole system flush its going to take alot of fluid. I just did mine cause it was contaminated with some other shit and i had to get the whole thing out. I used 16 bottles and finally it was clean. Maybe very lil was stuck between the speed sensor and reservoir. but this this is how to do a full system flush < this will take out the crap in your rack and everything.

1.Drain your reservoir with a pump. I just used a pump from a sanitizing bottle.
2. disconnect the big hose from the reservoir and connect it to a clear hose ( so you can see whats going on) its a 5/8 ID and you will need a 5/8 union to connect the hoses together. Run the hose to a bucket < fill bucket w/ clean Honda PS fluid.
3. disconnect the 2 smaller hoses on the reservoir and kinda do the same as step 2. this time you will need a T union. connect the 2 hoses that went to the reservoir to the T union and and run a clear hose (3/8 ID) from the last nipple/out on the union to another bucket< dirty fluid will spill into this bucket
4. jack you the front tires if you want to make steering easier. have someone turn the car on and immediately turn the wheel all the way left then right and continue the steering until you see clean fluid come out the small hose. Or if you know for sure there is only honda PS in your system fluid all you will need is maybe 6 bottles to flush the whole thing. but i dont see why you need to flush the whole thing unless it looks real dirty.
when you run low on fluid stop and fill and do it again. Its actually really easy.

*if you flush it like tinhthan says you will need to cap off the 2 holes in the res. This way you run the chance of not filling the res. up fast enough for the pump.

Thanks! I need P/S flush because the dealer after performing a 26 pt. inspection during my oil change service, found that my P/S oil was really dirty. They recommend I do a full p/s flush at a price of $120. I figured I could save some money and do it at home instead, and learn something about the car in the process.

Again Thanks to both of you for the help!
