Hey there, I am in process of doing the first version fog light mod as I want fogs on with parking lights.

I have everything taken apart but I am looking at grey plastic piece that the 5 wires go into, and cant figure out how to pull the two wires out of it that I need to splice together. Am I doing this right. I thought I just needed to pull the red/black wire and the white/red wire, splice them together then plug back into the "taillight" power hole.

HOW DO YOU PULL THE WIRES OUT OF THE HARNESS??? Also, once out do I just splice them togehter? How do you get them to go back into the harness???

Please help, as my dash is taken apart and I need to get this done asap. Thanks.... Spencer

 

did you check the DIY thread with pictures? i'm not sure what gray plastic thing with 5 wires you are talking about or which version of the mod you're doing, but i followed the DIY thread without any problems. good luck!

yeah I did alot of searching and looking at pics, but didn't see any direct solution.

 

post a photo of the grey box you're talking about - i can't picture in my head what it is....

 

I meant the "harness" that goes into the back of the fog light button. The one that the 5 wires go into. I got it figured out though.. thanks for responding though.

 

i did the fog light mod, BXSCIG version, its amazing... but one problem occured after doing it... check engine and SRS light came on. I fixed the engine lite by unplugging the battery and turning n' holding the key to start position for 5 secs but the SRS stays on... Did this happened to anybody else? any input would be appreciated ...

 

^^^^^ Do a search for the steps to turn off the SRS warning light. You'll have to short and unshort the SRS plug a couple of times to reset the light.
