hey my maintenance required light usually comes out when i need an oil change, but i did an oil change on it around 2000 miles ago and it comes up. how do i get rid of the maintenance light?

 

you reset it yourself at oil change, then it counts miles
ck owner book for procedure but generally its reach thru the steering wheel with left hand and pushing the 2 trip buttons while turning the key to ON with right hand and holding buttons x amount of time and flashes

Thats the way I did mine. Try seafoam okay bad joke.

 

many of us use seafoam in the engine oil right before a change- gets amazing amounts of crud out of the oil passages!
