whats up guys just wanted to ask a quesion about a problem my car is giving.. i have a 02 tl type s today my car started laggin from nowhere but if i turn it off den on again it drive fine till i pull over and if i leave it to idle it doesnt wanna go when i put it to drive it takes time and it lags but it stops for a lil if i turn it off and on, could it be my tranny went or is it my tq converter?? please help!!

 

Any lights come on in the dash?

 

sounds like torque convertor outlet screens are clogging with clutch debris and shutting off oil flow to make trans operate = trans rebuild time

turn engine off 15 minutes-- usually lets it gravity clean the screens-good for another 15-30 minutes drive to get off freeway or home etc

how does the fluid look and smell..like burnt sugary smell and black= not good

 

I have no lights on, the fluid looks kinda brown but it doesnt smell burnt and when i started it up its makin some weird noise coming out from the tranny side. i have about 134xxx miles on it. it drives fine in the beginning but it starts to lag.. should i change the tranny or there's another cheaper way to fix this??
