Question Need advise on installing After-market Ballast

I am putting on a new HID kit in my car due to the driver side headlight going out. My question is, since I am not using the OEM Ballast anymore, the "hole" beneath the headlight will be open because wires/igniter will have to go through it to go the the new after-market ballast (Cant keep the OEM ballast there which used to seal that hole.)

What is the best way to run the wires OR what is the best way to seal this open hole? I was told to use window sealant to cover the hole, plastic and adhesive, drill a hole, etc. Can somebody advise whats the best way?> I do not want to have condensation/water again... cant afford it anymore. TIA

Why are you replacing the ballasts if its just a bulb that went bad?

i found out the ballast was bad. i switched up the bulbs and driver side was still out. Right now, putting in a new HID kit fixed the problem but the hole at the bottom of the headlight is still open since we ran the wire through there. Havent decided on how to seal it... advice? Its hot here in CA so hopefully no moisture comes in for now...

i kept the oem ballast in place to keep the hole plugged, drilled a small hole through the service cover, zip tied the new water proof ballasted to the old one, then fed the wire through the hole. sealed it up with black silicon. no leaks and cheap fix. i replaced both my oem ballasts with aftermarkets, works great.

Thanks for the advice...

water proof ballast? did you do somthing to it or thats just how you bought it? drilling the hole thru plastic, wouldnt that make the plastic crack? service cover is the one we twist to get to the HID bulb right?

The bottom whole is open right now but since its hidden beneath, i shouldnt expect moisture at least for now right?
