Need to adjust Passenger Wiper Arm -02 TL-S
Have '02 TL-S.. Passenger Wiper Arm seems to be returning to far at bottom and hitting body making an annoying bang sound every time wipers are on. Thinking of taking wiper arm off and adjusting one notch so as to not return as far. Any idea's / suggestions / tips to taking arm off. thx

Well there are two possible issues/solutions.
1) the wiper arm was taken off and put back in the wrong position
Solution: Remove the acorn nut holding the wiper arm on, pull the wiper arm off the gear then reposition it
2) The plastic "rotator cuffs" are worn and need to be replaced. See this thread for info: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-problems-fixes-117/newbie-q-wipers-problem-610086/

Hi srs :
Your plastic rotator are shot. 100% guaranteed.
Go to the DIY section and look up "Wiper Arm Replacement". It's a very easy job, takes about two hours. Make sure you lube up all the moving parts while you're in there.
Now, I only changed the one that was shot (it's always one side) and left the other one in place. When I cleaned up the "good" one I could not see any wear even after a careful inspection so I just put it back on. They are sold separately so you don't have to buy both.
Good luck !
