What i have noticed is that my metal flake on my 02 SSM TL-S has rusted all over my bumper's, and all over my car. the paint is the original paint that came on the car. the flakes of rust look like they are under the clear coat, because when i waxed it the whole car felt super smooth and not pitted or bumpy.

my question is this, what is the acura rust warranty about and is this a common problem with this color. i am aware that acura pain is shitty (i have a 94 integra that was black but has now turned in to a partially clear coated light black color).

Get a claybar and clay the car. your cars paint is fine and your car isnt rusting. Its a surface thing. Clay the car then rewax it afterwards. You can also try using something like meguiars Scratch X if the clay doesnt remove all of it

 

Could just be rail dust. I agree with Kris; try the clay bar.

your bumper is plastic so its not rusting. And get an anti-oxidizing compound for your old acura and it will look WAY better.

 

on the old integra the clear coat is gone and dissintigrating.

What does your integra have to do with your TLs paint. If properly maintained and waxed the paint will last a very long time. Get the stuff i mentioned before and spend a little quality time with your baby and make it better.

thanks for the info, i will do it on monday, i just mentioned my integra to give an example of how shitty acura/honda paint is.

 

never had a problem with their paint on all my past hondas
