If you are having those other symptoms, I'd be surprised if it was JUST that cylinder.

Get an OBDII bluetooth reader off amazon and use your smart phone to check the codes on the fly.

Easy check to see if it's the coilpack is take your cylinder one coilpack and swap it over to a different cylinder and see if the misfire moves. If it doesn't, then it's the plug (probably). If it does, it's the coilpack.

This is clearly a coil related issue. Not really a hard fix if you properly pull the code and go from there. If uncertain as to which coil is causing the problem, buy one new coil and see if you can isolate the bad one by replacing each cylinder's coil one at a time with the new one until the problem goes away. This could be the first, second or last.....depending on your luck.

What I did was just unscrew the connector to each of the cylinder's coil, one at a time taking note of the difference in idling, then reattach wiring and go on to the next until the bad one showed up. Replace the faulty coil and the car's engine should run smoother, then reset the code and cross your fingers !

you MUST reset the ecu each time you install a coil--change their positions
so it runs a self test!
that also clears codes

remove the CLOCK fuse from passenger end of dash for a minute and reinsert
thats the secret backup power for the ecu

try cyl 1 first,,thats passenger side against the firewall
numbering rear 123
front 456
when looking from front of car ,,rearwward

I had this issue with our TL and it was the Coil. I just went and unplugged each coil 1 at a time to see if the miss fire got worse. if it did then i knew that Coil worked until i unplugged the 1 and the miss fire didn't change and i knew that was the bad coil. Auto Zone has them for around 50 bucks or less FYI.
