Might be a stupid question but are 2000 TL side mirrors suppose to tilt down when in reverse? Im a 1 year owner and my cars in great condition but im certain my mirriors dont tilt! The heating works in the mirror. Are they suppose to tilt when shifting into reverse?

With the selector switch in the
center (off) position, the passenger’s
side mirror will pivot downward
slightly when you shift the
transmission into reverse. This will
give you a better view of that side of
the vehicle while parallel parking.
The mirror returns to its original
position when you take the
transmission out of reverse.

 

whats going on TL fam. So my issue is my side mirror tilts only when I open my door. Not when I have it in reverse? Any idea?

Okay okay, I see. Well that's a little odd tho. The tilt system worked great when I first got it, but all of a sudden it started tilting to the door. I have not messed with the car, besides the window tint, which a guy with a shop did it.
