Loud engine problem

I was wondering if any of you guys ever had this problem. My engine seems to be louder than it use to be when i first bought it. Its a 99 tl-p with no mods and 54k miles. It is more noticible at speeds over 40. It kinda sounds like it is constantly revving high even though its not. It just drones on and on. Its starting to annoy me. My friend said it could be bearings but i'm not sure.

can you duplicate the sound by reving it or does the sound only happen while driving? If its only while driving Id bet on a wheel bearing
