i recently got a new job where i have access to every year key fob that acura makes, last night i tried putting the internals from my ugly 99 fob into a newer shiny one but no dice, didnt fit..and ended up fucking up my old one....im pretty sure u cant program the ones that dont match the year of ur car, anyone done this swap or have any advise

Ive heard of guys switching the internals of the 99-01 to a 02-03, but you have to shave off the entire inside of the new fob to make it fit. You cannot reprograma new fob to the old module. You can however get a 02-03 module then do it that way..... at least thats what ive read.

 

yea i tried making it fit, guess ill have to try again and be more carefull...
