Hey I bought my '99 Acura 3.2 TL in Feb '08 and two months after i started to get this jerk when as soon as it tries to shift to second and third gear. Me and my pops changed the tranny fluid. Wen we did that the jerking went down for awhile until after a week when i made a trip to San francisco and the jerking came back with a check engine light and Tractions Control System light. I know my tranny will need to be repaired or replaced soon, but for now does anyone really the exact problem i have with my car...??? Please reply asap

 

2nd Gen TLs have a known 2nd Grear Issue (there was a recall on it, you should be able to find more info in the forum if you search). Your trany will probably die soon don't drive on the highway and get it checked because the gears will start to get stuck and can cause major damage to the car or to yourself and others on the road.

Actually the known problem is the 3rd gear. The recall was for the 2nd gear and no one ever has that problem.
