J32A In Sandcar Weird Miss

Hello all,

I installed a J32a in my sandcar out of a 2002 TL type S.
I purchased the whole kit from a company that modifys them to run with minimal sensors. They ran the motor on a engine stand right in front of me and ran very good. Right after i installed the engine in my buggy it developed what appears to sound like a intake leak, I only say this because when i pull off one of the vacuum plugs it does the same thing only worse. So i have sprayed intake, throttle body repeatedly with carb cleaner to see if I could locate leak, no change in engine sound no matter where i sprayed the cleaner. I took off throttle body and cleaned it, inspected Mass sensor and reinstalled. Still issues. Ive pulled the upper plenum cover off to check runner bolt torque, all tight. Im really scratching my head at this point. Here is a link to a youtube video of the engine issue in action.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Thank You!!

I think we need a little more info on the actual setup. Is this motor boosted at all? Thats an odd sound, You typically dont get that sound out of a vacuum leak, usually just a erratic/up/down idle much more than you have. Are you running a OEM Throttle body? Have you checked the Idle Air Control Valve?

Ok, its just a normal aspirated motor, No IAC valve the builder deleted it and welded a plate over its location (bottom of throttle body) for whatever reason im unsure. But IAC failures nrmaly just give surging RPM not weird miss like I am Exper. Another thing is the faster the RPM the Faster the miss. ?? Ive pulled all coils and they are functioning. Its a stock ECU that apparently has a custm burn on it. The guys who sold me the package are horrible at service after sale!!! Ive called no joke 10 times, they are obviosly avoiding me. Im resorting to taking it to a Honda guy here in vegas to see what he can come up with but something tells me its not much more then ive already checked. Im pointing twoards miss at this point and not intake leak.

If its a stock ecu there is no "custom burn" or flash or reflash or chip or anything like that its just stock ecu. If you have a tuner that's different but ecu if from this gen car is not custom at all.

The Stock ECU can NOT have a custom burn. The ecu is a 1 time write chip. Not even the dealer can reprogram it. I dont know how its running right without a IACV and a stock TB. . Can you pinpoint where about that noise is coming from?

Only way it could be timing is if the timing belt some how slipped during transport Possible but unlikely It would be worth aligning the marks to see
