Issue with my 02 TL-P....

Hopefully someone will be able to help me out... The issue is my car will drive fine but has became sluggish and sometimes when I start the car and drive off the car bogs out and wouldn't wanna move until I release the accelerator and press again or sometimes when I begin to drive off and coast to a stop the car seems like its about to die as well but then idle becomes normal and the car drives fine all day. I cleaned out the EGR port and it wasn't as clogged as I though it would be and plugs are new and as far as I know the coils are good I did however replace fuel pump a few years back with a loose strainer. Maybe the strainer fell off? Im stumped any feedback would be great.

Have the cat. converter checked. Maybe it's stopped up.

lets discuss how the egr port was cleaned
the 02 has the main passage thru the manifold,, plus 6 ports
and under the egr valve end of manifold is a port and passage to main body

if all you did was remove egr valve and clean it or poke at the hole underneath it--thats just starting the job--needs 3 cans carb cleaner and some rags, a wire coat hanger type rod, and 2 hours of DIY time at a casual pace

with all the electronics in your signature, I would head to your local parts store
ask for a free code scanning- that will tell if any coils are involved,
and the charging system- you could have low batt volts in the morning....

for anyone ready to jump on me and say the car doesnt run off the batt!!!!
the batt and alt work together to provide a steady constant voltage FROM the battery to the needs,
and alt replaces the used up energy -at varying rate depending on rpm
ok--is that a reasonable compromise answer and explanation?

cat test- does it freely rev to the rev limiter--5k in park
or does it get sluggish at 3000
does the trans feel ok--its not slipping and grabbing with the reduced rpm prob
or under full throttle uphill 2nd gear? whats it do- act like a rocket ?

spark plugs- what did you use- ngk Irids--or ngk plat--or even denso??
or something else totally wrong for the car and the cause of your problem

When I cleaned the EGR port I took apart the whole intake manifold and followed the DIY the cat converter was recently replaced about a month ago along with the o2 sensor I have NGK Iridium plugs the car is NOT getting a CEL at all which is weird and the battery I will get it checked its a Factory Honda battery and seems like its getting old the transmission was taken in for recall couple years back and hasn't given me any problems as far as I know on uphill full throttle 2nd gear it feels somewhat slower but it could just be me use to the car thanks for helping me out im hoping this info will help you help me more

I also noticed that my o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold is maybe pinched because the headers I got were cheap and the o2 bung wasn't exactly welded in the correct angle and now the sensor is pretty much rubbing up onto the engine and the wires might be pinched and grounding out the signal? but again no CEL so im not sure just throwing that one out there
