Intake Manifold/EGR/IACV Cleaning

Hey, guys. I'm thinking about cleaning the parts mentioned in the title, and I was wondering what is the best cleaning solution to use.

Also, if I'm going to clean those areas, are there any other parts I should clean while I'm at it?

Thanks in advance.

EH

You mean as far as chemicals?? I just used gumout and a old tooth brush and a pipe cleaner. Make sure to take the IM off the motor to do it all though

Yeah, what chemicals?

I keep hearing about Seafoam....is that something I should use?

I know about the IM....I did this about five months ago, but the dealership said it's clogged up again.

The top cover of the IM or the EGR? While I'm in there, I plan on cleaning pretty much everything I can get to.

I'm tired of the damn CEL coming on....And now the TCS light has been coming on as well.

the egr doesnt get cleaned. just the IM. You will be able to tell if the IM needs to be cleaned by taking the top cover off of the IM. If you see the tracks are plugged and the 6 holes are plugged up, then you will have to remove the whole upper IM and clean it. The tcs light usually comes on with the CEL. Its nothing to worry about

btw you can't clean the IAC valve, you have to replace it if it's bad.
