I'm Shifting down at a complete spot!! WTF is wrong??
Today, when i was driving for about 20 mins or so i pulled up to a stop sign. Then boom, i was at a complete stop and my tranny shifted down. I was on auto, not sports shit. So as soon as i took off from the stop sign, i throttled 40% to 2800 rpm; then it jumped up to 4000rpm, it had a hard shift, it made a loud *thump* noise. I recetly replaced my tranny, and please don't tell me i already blew it up in a month. Haha. What could be the problem? Heat? Something needs to be adjusted? Brake pads? Wraped rotors? Maybe i'm slippin? Ahh!!
Thanks for any help i can get guys =D

IF the tranny itself is still good, the trans-axle could be slipping out of the coupling if it was reinstalled incorectly, making it slip... But thats just my first impression if the trans itself is fine.
Perhaps if the post were clear... someone would be able to help? I've read it 4 times and I still have no understanding of what you're trying to say the car did. If you said it shifted down when you stopped, well, that's what it is designed to do. If you pressed the gas pedal hard on take off and it revved quickly and shifted harder, that is also what it is supposed to do. If these do not apply to you, then maybe your TL needs its driver replaced?
Actually, that sounds familiar. That's exactly what happened when mine died.
I was coming to a stop, and it was the hardest downshift I've ever felt in any car. Then it had a rough upshift once I got going, and 10 miles later, boom.
