its possible--what year are you? miles?
99s had a major prob with the switch, many replacing it 2-5 times in the cars life
other years not as bad,, but extra key weight can wear out switch

One person took the thing apart and was able to clean and reinstall--save 50 bucks!

if no start at all- look at ignition fuse and relay
ck for spark at a plug -with fuel pump fuse removed for safety

is the no start a sudden prob-- or it got to this point? harder to start then finally nothing?
looking for timing belt breakage indication with this question

battery condition and cables?

car was sitting with no radiator for a month i replaced hoses and the radiator got her to start she went to cold idle then went to op temp then suddenly died wouldn't start. took the batt out had that charged and put it back in it cranks and if u jiggle the key sometimes it'll sound like it's gonna catch but never does. i thought about how they sayed that the ignition went out cause of the amount of power that was being shoved through it and it's the only thing i can think of that would be causing this crank no start

the ignition switch gets really dirty inside itself- which could lead to resistance and power probs = burning of switch contacts = replacement

is it a 99?
if so ck if it ever had the recall ignition switch completed-`fixed`
on your www.owner.acura.com account under recalls
or ask dealer to run VIN for you
`acura care` during the week is 1 800 382 2238x5 they are the master info center on recalls

If its blinking then the immobilizer is bad. It should stay solid while starting. If it blinks its not reading and which is why it cranks and cranks but not starts

IF your car cranked (with a flashing green key) but didnt start your ignition switch didnt shit out on you its the immobilizer not reading the key (or a ecu issue as that is where the security chip is located)

If it cranks normal speed but doesnt start and has a flashing green key high odds its the immobilizer
