ice forms under glove box; no air coming from vents

hey guys...after driving for about an hour or so on the highway ice forms underneath the glove box (evaporator) and there's barely any air that comes out out of the vents during that time. If I let the car sit for a while with the engine turned off, I notice about 1/2 an hour later, a lot of water draining from the evaporator drain. What seems to be the problem here? I already replaced the blower motor and that doesn't seem to be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, it's only on the highway. If stopping and going, the a/c will be fine.

check to see if that drain is blocked at all. it sounds like every thing is freezing up due to a blocked drain??

Fixed the problem today. Evaporator was working fine and the drain was not clogged. Problem was with the compressor not turning off. As soon as I would start the car, the compressor would kick in also. Also, when the A/C would be on, the compressor would never turn off, therefore freezing up the evaporator.
Thought I would post this up just in case somebody else has this problem.

Cool, thanks for the update, Green.

How did you fix it? New compressor?

Should have left it alone and turned the glovebox into a mini cooler

I fixed it by wiring the compressor directly to the fuse box.
Awesome idea...all i have to do is disconnect the wire and the cooler will work again.
