guys todat i wanted to take engine cover out so i could paint it the color of the body. The problem is that owner alreadt took the screws out but when he put it back he screwed it wrong when my mechanic wanted to take it out two of them broke what can i do so i could fix it back. do i have to buy a new manifold?

 

I would have told the mechanic to extract the remaining screw so that it can be functional and if he cannot, the mechanic should be responsible for the damage, no matter what the mechanic claims the previous owner did.

worse comes to worse, you can try using a screw extraction tool and if that doesn't work, you can do the last resort of drilling it out and using a heli-coil so you don't have to replace the manifold.
