My TL-s is a Pothole magnet
A while ago I hit a pothole and the car has never been the same since. I've replaced the rims/tires/Spindles on both sides. Seams like the right side is more prone to potholes than the left for some reason...
Anyhow, I have 4 bubbles within the past month and when I drive, the car drives straight but the shaking is equivelant to a 4 on the rickter scale.
I would imagine that my rim is damaged again but I'd love to hear some of your opinions about this.
Since I'm here, I have a few other issues.
I had my fuel injectors changed last year but since then, the gas mileage has gone from about 320 to a tank to 260 to a tank (I saw the post made earlier about this and am considering the seamfoam but would like to hear other opinions). The plugs were also changed, and I took it upon myself to change the o2 sensors (Boshe). Was that the right thing to do? Should I change the o2 sensors to OEM, and if so, where is the best place to get them?
I have a rust spot on my car which is about the size of a palm. I think one of the kids spilled soda on it at one time. How much should I pay someone to paint this? It's right above the rear door.
I love my car but if I can't fix these issues, I might have to sell it.
Ohh... one more thing. I need new tires. Is Tirerack the best place to go for tires? Which tires are recommended for my type of driving? I'm a lead foot most of the time and like to speed around as often as possible. The Bridgestones are ok but I noticed that once I put them on, the car felt a bit heavier in the front than with the Michellin's.
Thanks for all of your time and effort with answering my questions.
