How to get out 2 screws in IAC??
How to get out 2 screws in IAC??
New member here and i just bought an 02 recently. The IAC needs clean or replaced and i have everything apart ready to clean with carb cleaner but i cant get out the 2 screws connected to the iac, i tried wd-40 but thats not working. any suggestions. Thanks,

so you removed the intake manifold to clean the egr ports and passages too--correct?
flipped the TB over and got the cover off no prob?
just the retainer clip or screws are causing you trouble?
do a search on here for iacv cleaning --with pics--posted by fsttyms1
he did a good pictorial--not sure if its in the actual diy list (found at top of main thread list for gen2)
there is a tab (iirc) for the rod- it pulls out and clean the slit on its side
clean out cylinder the rod fits into as well
deep creep (seafoam in spray can) is awesome at getting things loose and then cleaning them
reminder- DC on the airplate in TB both sides and edges- lube throttle return springs
and while its apart lube throttle/cruise cables inside their housings
