How to change a headlight

I know the topic of headlights have been covered many times, but after searching through the threads, I could not find one on "how" to change the headlight bulb. Especially the driver side that is really cluttered.

Also, how do you adjust the elevation?

This is for a 2000 Acura TL.

I'm about to purchase a pair of Philips 4300k D2R's off ebay for $88.49 shipped. The driver side is turning pink and the passender side is occasionally flickering. Car has 119,000 miles on it so I believe they're hitting the end of their life.

welcome
What you need is in the DIY section of gen2 main thread list- right near the top- 3 pages of stuff you can do yourself!
Requires Torx SECURITY bit #20 to remove rear access cover
Make sure those are brand new bulbs ONLY- not used!
popping the radiator reserve tank gives more room to work on left side

What about the elevation? I didn't find a post on how to adjust that. Currently my lights are shooting too low.

look in the gen3 Garage (their DIY section) it has a scan of the factory method
If you look at the back of the housing, there is a geared mechanism , with a v groove in the plastic housing above it. A + screwdriver slides nearly straight thru the grove, and you use the screwdriver teeth as if they were gears and turn the top gear of the adjuster
On top of the housing lens is a arrow U <---> D
there is another adjuster way off to the side- thats for the side adjustment - get them height correct first

put the teeth of the screwdriver into the top of the gear- turn the screwdriver handle and it turns the gear!
You are not looking close enough- did you read the DIY on it

In my family we have a 2000 TL (i drive that) and a 2003 TL-S (my mom drives it).

I just re-adjusted the elevation for both. Problem is, on the 03, the driver headlight aims way too much to the passenger side. I see the right/left adjustment clearly on my 2000 TL, but I can't seem to find it on the 2003?

Please dont be adjusting the headlights randomly with out knowing the proper adjustment procedure. It can be dangerous to you and the others on the road.

I'm not. I don't think it's normal for my driver side light on mine to shoot down 15 feet in front of my car.

driver and passenger lights are set differently to protect oncoming drivers. Messing with it can blind oncoming drivers.

I don't normally recommend the dealer, but get them to change your oil and ask them about your lights. It's a 2-3 minute job and requires you be 25 feet away from a wall to set them. You also need some markings on the wall to properly aim them.
