how to break tranny....(read)

my g/f just purchased an 01 3.2tl. it has approx 66k on the clock. it has (obviously) the wretched automatic trans that everyone has problems with. i have called acura service and found that the original purchase date was Oct 24th, 2000. they also said that the transmission was never replaced under warranty. well i see this as a good thing BUT, soon it will not be replaceable under warranty. is there any surefire way to kill this tranny so i can get a new one that wont die on its own as soon as this warranty expires? can i just bring it in to acura and say its acting up or do they have to find something wrong with it to replace it? i know that the previous owner took good care of this car but i dont want it to fail on me (or my g/f). what should i do? TIA

Well if they cant duplicate the problem they are not going to fix it. If you really want it to die I guess drain out all the tranny fuild and drive for a bit with that and I promise it will die soon enough. Just make sure to put it back in before you bring it complain its dead.

See that might be a bad idea because then you could put wear and strain on it but it might still last untill after the warranty period. Then you would be stuck with a bill that you were trying to avoid.
