HID problem
So my driver side HID lights went out. I thought it was the light bulb, but when i replaced it, it did not work.
What is the next thing I should look at? Would it be something that I can fix/replace myself, or is it time to bring it in to the dealer? Any rough estimate of how much $$ it will cost?

The strangest thing happened tonight. I was driving, it was getting dark and i flipped my lights on to find the light in working order. It has not worked for 3 months....i turned it off then back on and its not working again...any ideas???

From my experience, if they turn on, stay on for a little while, then turn off, it's the ballast. I went through all of this, instead of buying 1 new ballast from Acura, for what, 250 dollars or so? I just bought one of those Pilot HID kits from ebay, with Ballast/Ignitor combined into one small piece, along with a couple bulbs, all for less than 200 dollars. I figured if one of them went out, the other would follow shortly, and I personally don't have 500 dollars to drop on ballasts for an outdated HID system, just my

I Had The Same problem before one thing you can try is turning off the headlights and turning them bak on...as hids have to get a stronger charge from the ballast at first to ignite them...then the voltage lowers once again to just keep the lights running...

Replaced Igniter!! Have questions? Ask me...
OK ALL FIXED!!! Yesterday I took the Igniter that had went out on the passenger side... www.Crouch.vox.com for pictures of the procedure. I had to take the front facia off just to get the Headlight unit off the car. I then unscrewed the ballast from the headlight and bam. unplugged the igniter, replaced it with the new on and were g2g, it works and i now know what it take to replace and igniter and or ballast. Any questions?

So I'm having a problem just like this. Only its both of my lights. When I have my headlights on, my passenger light will go out, and I'd have to turn off and then turn on my headlights to get it to work. Now the drivers side is doing the same exact thing. Sometimes its to the point that both will go out, and when I try to turn them off and back on again, they wont turn on. What do you guys think? Ballast or ignitor? Or could it possibly be the bulb? I have Kaixen 6000k bulbs. Any help is greatly appreciated and I will make you cookies if you tell me whats wrong with my Habanero (FPR)
