HID Issue With A Twist

My TL is a 03’. The problem is my HID unit on the passenger side. Two months ago My local mechanic who works only on Hondas and Acuras, replaced the inverter on the driver side. Worked like a charm, no problems. Yesterday I noticed the passenger side was out. The strange thing was that when checking the lights to see it the passenger side high beam was out also I notice that in high beam position, it would actually give a low beam on the driver side (only side working). When selecting low beam it would be an actual high beam position. It is now as if the switch is wired backward. As stated earlier, leaving the mechanic, up until now no issues. I search the threads and no issues have been posted that’s similar to this. I not very mechanically gifted. Any advice is truly appreciated. I would like to have an idea of what is going on prior to going to the mechanic I use or the Dealer.

It may be a switch or multiplex issue. One other thing to check is the grounds. Check the grounds by the headlights. I might also look into the work that the mechanic did to see if he did any splicing or any thing that may be causing issues.

Similar problem to mine; check your fuses under the hood passenger side...very likely you will find that it's burned. I do not know how it confuses the headlights but mine was like that too (see thread https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-problems-fixes-117/one-eyed-monster-740442/).
Replaced the fuse, brights work like they should now, but the low beam is still out pending replacement of inverter/ballast.

Sorry I had to leave town on sudden personnel business and just returning. Thanks for the Info. I will check fuse tomorrow and report back what I found. As for as checking grounds near headlights, would that be checking connectors to the lamps?
